Annechiena Siberdina
The Annechiena Siberdina was ready built in 1895 at the Gebroeders Verstockt shipyards for the family Kruize of Stadskanaal. In her first years she was most probably on a trade sailing to and from Denmark. After this, she sailed on the Wadden Sea and on the Southsea. Up to the end of the fifties she served as a cargo ship under sail, without an engine and still for the Kruize family. In the sixties of the twentieth century the ship was taken out of service. In 1986 Reint and Els Dragt purchased the barge and renamed her “Res Nova”. She was restored as close as possible to her original. She also was fitted, for the first time, with an engine. Since then the “Res Nova” is used in the charter business, first from Zwartsluis, now from Lelystad. In 2005 the “Res Nova” was purchased by Saskia and Maarten van Nieuwland, they love to welcome you aboard for a taste of the glory of the old sailing trade. In the winter of 2013 the “Res Nova” has completely been renovated for more comfort and safety but she is still in her old glory. She has her own website: www. Resnova.nl
