Jan Herman

NB 393 (IMO no. 5169538) was named Jan Herman and delivered in June 1952. Her first owner was Rederij Mulder-Wortelboer/Bodewes (Groningen, The Netherlands). In 1965 the vessel was sold and renamed Claus Lührs. In 1985 she was sold again and renamed Claus L. Other name changes followed: In 1986 the ship sailed by the name of Pedro de Sula, in 1987 her name was Anneliese. In February 1989 she was sailing from Wismar to Gunnes. In a heavy storm, 30 miles from Texel, she went adrift. The crew was rescued. A few days later the vessel stranded on Texel, were she ultimately was scrapped.
