Wiegertje

The vessel ‘Wiegertje’ was built in 1885. The vessel was one of the first steel clippers built at the Bodewes shipyard. Wiegertje was built as a 90 feet two-mast steel Klipper. Her first owner was Mr. J. Baars from Rhenen, Germany. After 1904 she was renamed “Annigje” with the homeport of Rotterdam. After 1937 she was renamed “Hoop op Zegen”, with the homeport Leeuwarden. She sailed as a cargo vessel until the end of the eighties. In 1993 she was rebuilt as a charter sailing vessel called “tadorna”. In the same year she was sold and renamed “Heer Leo”. In 2001 she was sold again and renamed “Onrust”. The “Onrust” has got her own website: www.onrust.info
In 2017 the vessel was refitted and started sailing under a new name: Elbrich. The vessel is now a luxurious charter with private sanitary facilities for each cabin. Elbrich has got her own website: www.klipperelbrich.nl
